Tour Tips!

Please see our cycling safety tips and etiquette section as it has some great tips that are not just for the tour but cycling in general to keep in mind as you train for the MS150 Tour.

Q. What am I responsible for bringing with me on the tour?
Team FoMo suggests you divide your gear into two piles:  What to bring on the ride (the body/bike stuff you carry with you) and what to pack in your overnight bag.

What to bring on the ride (Body/bike stuff to carry with you):

  • Identification and Insurance Card
(make a copy and put in saddle bag)
  • Emergency cash, credit card
  • Car keys (don't lock yourself out of your car when you return)
  • Helmet (REQUIRED for the Tour)
  • Padded bike shorts, jersey (Team FoMo Jersey of course!)
  • Cycling gloves, shoes
  • Sunglasses, lip balm, sunscreen
  • Patch, spare tube(s), tire pump (optional)
  • Water bottle(s), hydration pack
  • Available at registration:
    • MS150 Rider number
    • MS150 Bike Frame Number
    • MS Bike Tour Course Map
  • Any medications you may need
  • Camera (disposables work great)
  • Rain Poncho (folds up into your jersey pocket or saddle bag.)

What to pack in your overnight bag:

  • Toiletries/towel
  • Change of clothes for Saturday night
(Casual/Comfortable, for the banquet style dinner program)
  • Any medications you may need
  • Riding clothes for Sunday
  • Travel Alarm Clock

We are going to start doing a weekly ride - like we have done in the past.  Anyone is welcomed.

We will send e-mails out to let everyone know dates/times/locations.
